From the Arabic "Son of the Wind" Ben Ryè Donnafugata is a sweet wine that has obtained the designation of Passito Pantelleria AOC. We are facing an extraordinary example of a meditation wine: embracing, harmonious, sweet, cool, soft and warm. Ben Ryè has intense notes of apricot, peach, dried figs and honey that emerge on the nose, as it is interesting to note the structure and complexity that characterizes the taste: a light and harmonious fusion of sweetness, softness and flavor. There are eleven different districts of the island of Pantelleria from which the grapes to produce the Ben Ryè Donnafugata, each of which is characterized by its own microclimate that gives unique. A diversity of terroir also demonstrated by the period of grape harvest: it begins in September with the less precocious; this grape is processed fresh and the same is then added, on several occasions, raisins hand. This is the most delicate stage of the production process of the Ben Ryè Donnafugata; raisins releases its extraordinary sweetness and aroma, giving the Passito Pantelleria those enviable characteristics. Ben Ryè stands for " Son of the Wind"; yes, because the wind is the true protagonist of this island of Sicily, a constant murmur among the clusters of Zibibbo, also known as Moscato d’Alessandria, which carries with it an intense charge perfumes. A perfect accompaniment to blue and aged cheesed, for foie gras, for sweet ricotta cheese and biscuits.
