The history of this wine is linked to a double mandate with that of the city from which it takes its name: in fact in 1606, the year of the foundation of Vittoria, the founder Vittoria Colonna Henriquez, gave the first settlers land on which to develop the wine-growing practice. Thanks to the natural propensity of the soil, there was a decisive development of viticulture, with the presence of the two typical vines, the frappato and the nero d'avola. The vinification is traditional: the two types are collected and processed separately, made to refine in the tank where they carry out the malolactic fermentation, to give a softer profile. The Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG 2013 of the Feudo di Santa Tresa fully reflects the loyalty to the tradition of the area and has a strong territorial connotation.
