Tasting notes

Ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose shows fruity scents (small red fruits) and a delicate memory of sweet spices. In the mouth it is characterized by a strong freshness and smooth tannins. Round and balanced, it has a delicately spicy closure.

This frappato lends itself well to combinations with fresh or raw sea cheese, such as tuna or a prawn tartare.

"Feudo di Santa Tresa" is located in the province of Ragusa, in the village of Vittoria, a Sicilian town that boasts a centuries-old and ancient winemaking tradition.

Terre Siciliane Frappato IGP 2016 - Feudo di Santa Tresa: Because we like it

The frappato is a native Sicilian vine, probably arrived in ancient times from Spain: in the territory of Vittoria has found the ideal conditions for its growth. The vinification is traditional, with a cold maceration and a fermentation that uses the use of selected yeasts. Subsequently the malolactic fermentation is carried out followed by an aging in cement tanks. Sicily Frappato IGP of the Feudo di Santa Tresa is a young and fragrant wine, with a light and delicate natural spice.
